24-year-old dies in Largo traffic crash
LARGO (FOX 13) - A 24-year-old has died following a crash in Largo, police announced Thursday morning.
The crash, which occurred Tuesday after 1 p.m., happened at the intersection of Seminole Boulevard and 16th Avenue SE.
Largo police said a 1998 Chevy pick-up truck was traveling west on 16th Avenue SE when the 24-year-old attempted to make a left turn onto Seminole Boulevard. A 2003 Honda Civic was traveling north in the median lane.
Police said the driver of the pick-up truck violated the right of way and crashed into the Honda. The 45-year-old driver had non-life threatening injuries, but the driver of the pick-up truck passed away at the scene.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, according to detectives. No other information was provided.
