Canoeists yield right-of-way to manatees

During a day on the water near Pinellas County, a couple of canoeists yielded the right of way to a couple of manatees - and they caught the moment from above using a drone and a camera.

Mike of See Through Canoes and Mark of See Through Adventures saw a couple of manatees in a small creek.

The manatees were heading toward them so they moved as far to the sides as possible so the sea cows could pass.

"They stopped for a quick "hello" and went on their way," Mike said.

He explained manatees are usually seen in larger bodies of water, but they sometimes go into smaller creeks.
