Deputies link Pasco search scene to Tarpon Springs triple murder investigation

PORT RICHEY, Fla. (FOX 13) - The search for a body at a home in the Bayonet Point area is connected to a triple murder case out of Tarpon Springs, deputies confirmed Friday.

Several Pasco County Sheriff’s Office crime scene vans, forensic units, and forensic anthropologists from the University of South Florida were at the home at 10930 Norwood Avenue, east of U.S. 19.

The investigation that began with the discovery of three bodies at a home in Tarpon Springs now spans two states and two Bay Area counties.

Investigators appeared to be using ground-penetrating radar and small orange flags to search and mark the backyard of the home. The view from SkyFOX showed yellow tape cordoning off the home and yard.

Neighbors say the man accused of killing his wife's mother, father, and brother in Tarpon Springs rented the Norwood Avenue home with his wife and children.

But the man also has a residence in Ohio. 

Officials in Tarpon Springs began to suspect 25-year-old Shelby John Nealy for the death of his inlaws. They tracked him to a residence in Lakewood, Ohio, where he was arrested. 

Nealy's young children were taken into protective custody. His wife, Jamie Ivancic, is missing under what police called "suspicious circumstances."

Nealy apparently admitted to the murders. Investigators say he also lead law enforcement back to Florida, in reference to the home in Port Richey.

Pasco County officials were only able to say they were "investigating a report of a possible body located on the site," Friday.

"We have been in communication with Tarpon Springs P.D. and are investigating a lead regarding this residence they have provided," PCSO spokesperson Benecia Holder said.
