IKEA lamp recalled after 3 report being shocked
IKEA is recalling its Gothem floor and table lamps after three people have reported being shocked by the product.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission's recall website says the lamps cables were damaged during manufacturing in China and could come in contact with the metal body of the lamp. More than 30,000 units were involved in the recall.
The floor lamps are 49 inches tall and the table lamps are 14 or 18 inches tall. The lamps have a brush-finished, with nickel plating, and have a dimmer switch. They were sold in the U.S. and around the world between October 2015 and February 2016.
Three reports of minor shock have been reported worldwide.
Anyone who has one of these floor or table lamps is asked to stop using it and return it to IKEA.
