Local police and black leaders march for unity
TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - Tampa Police shared a photo on Twitter Sunday after their officers joined Temple Terrace police and leaders in the black community for a unity march.
The theme of the march was unity, Tampa police said.
The goal - to bring both communities together for better support and understanding in the wake of the police shootings in Louisiana and Minnesota, and the officers killed in Dallas, Texas.
The group marched from Busch Boulevard and 56th Street to Temple Crest Park, holding hand-made signs to show their unity.
