Man accused of using stolen identity to buy luxury SUV

A man is under arrest for identity theft, after investigators say he bought a $100,000 SUV using someone else's information.

Federal agents say Terrell Tramone Brown used a stranger's information to purchase a luxury Cadillac Escalade from Dimmitt Cadillac in Clearwater.

The feds were notified when the victim started getting phone calls about missed car payments.

The secret service was able to track Brown down when they busted a cell phone store on Waters Avenue for making counterfeit credit cards and IDs.
They found his picture there, where he reportedly got a fake license.

Facial recognition software identified Brown, who was wanted in south Florida, for violating probation for making counterfeit money.

He has served time in both state and federal prison.
