Mobile home fire leaves man, woman injured
THONOTOSASSA (FOX13) - A man and woman were injured in a mobile home fire in Thonotosassa Sunday morning.
The fire broke out around 7:30 a.m. at a mobile home in the Ranch Oaks Estates neighborhood on US 301. Firefighters said flames and smoke were coming from the home when they arrived.
A man was pulled from the fire and transported to the hospital in critical condition. A woman was also rescued and taken to the hospital, authorities said.
A dog and a few birds died in the fire, while a cat survived and is being cared for by a neighbor.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
