NICU nurse creates adorable costumes for preemies

A nurse at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at a North Carolina hospital is bringing joy to the families of the preemies in her care.

After working long shifts at the hospital, Katie Windsor goes home an crochets tiny costumes for her patients.

Many of the babies are in critical care, so it means a lot to parents to see their babies dressed up.

This year, the knitting nurse created capes adorned with Batman, Superman, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The babies were all dressed, posed, and photographed to help bring smiles to the families' faces.
