Temperatures are warming up Friday after another chilly start in the Tampa Bay area, but mild conditions won't last long as another cold front heads for Florida this weekend.

Temperatures will drop to the upper 50s in many areas on Friday night, with lower 60s in our southern zones as cloud coverage increases, according to Weber.

What to expect this weekend

Timeline: Weber says a winter storm system that's bringing snow to portions of the southern and Midwestern U.S. will drag a cold front over the state on Saturday, with rainfall beginning in the Bay Area during the morning hours.

"The cold front pushes to our south and some cooler air will start to work its way in," Weber said.

Saturday's high won't be much warmer than the morning low, topping out in the low-to-mid 60s with scattered showers.
