Some charges dropped for security guard that fired shots in Ybor parking garage

There is cell phone video showing security guard Everoy Farqharson's confrontation with two men in a ybor parking garage, but the video doesn't tell the whole story, his attorney Patrick Leduc says. " I would just caution people there is more to the story," said Leduc.

New court documents show Farqharson claims one of the men spit in his face, which you dont see on video, but what you do see, says Farqharson, is his reaction to it: shoving and trying to punch the man who did it. "He was in fear at that time he was going to be harmed," said Leduc.

This all started after Farqharson spotted two men urinating in the parking garage and blocked them in with his golf cart.

Leduc says after his client was spit on, the second man tried to move the golf cart. That's when you see Farqharson knocking his cell phone to the ground.

While the video goes out, rounds being fired and the sound of gunshots is heard on the cell phone video.

Leduc says they were all fired into the air, never at the men.

What the video doesn't show, he says, is the attack on his client. "These alleged victims engaged my client, began to beat up my client, and he defended himself the best he could," said Leduc.

After reviewing all of the evidence in the case, the state dropped some of the charges Thursday and the judge reduced bond with the condition of to staying away from the alleged victims.

He still face aggrivated assault, tampering with evidence and battery.
