Tampa police look for man allegedly pawning stolen property

The Tampa Police Department says officers are looking for a man suspected of pawning stolen property.

The man is thought to be involved in vehicle burglaries and lawn maintenance equipment thefts in Tampa and possibly Hillsborough County.

TPD is looking for 58-year-old Hezekiah Hargrove in connection to the stolen items. Police think he, and possibly others, have burglarized vehicles and stolen lawn equipment while landscapers were away from their vehicles working on lawns.

The stolen equipment was pawned shortly after being taken, according to investigators.

They say Hargrove has been seen as a passenger in a black Chrysler Pacifica.

Hargrove faces charges of trafficking in stolen property, giving false information to a pawnbroker, and grand theft.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the location and arrest of Hezekiah Hargrove. Anyone with any information and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online at www.crimestopperstb.com or send a mobile tip using the P3 Tips Mobile application.

Crime Stoppers must be contacted first in order to be eligible for a cash reward.
