Video: Woman attacks special needs school bus in apparent fit of road rage

TAMPA (FOX 13) - The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office hopes the public can help identify a woman who cracked the glass in the door of a school bus earlier this month. 

Video of the incident appears to show an enraged woman banging on and then kicking the door of the bus.

It happened April 12 just before 4:30 p.m. The bus driver said she was on Sheldon Road when the woman stopped in front of the bus and got out of her car.

Surveillance video from the bus shows the woman walk back to the bus' door. She uses her closed fist to bang on the glass door several times.

The bus driver, who was taking special needs students home after school, said the woman was yelling profanities. 

The bus driver told investigators the woman wanted her to open the doors, but she refused.

That's when the woman stepped back and kicked the door, cracking the glass. 

The woman was described as Hispanic or Caucasian, between 25 and 35 years old. She had black curly hair, pulled back in a ponytail. 

She was wearing glasses and blue medical scrubs at the time of the incident. 

Her vehicle was described as a maroon Nissan Altima.  

The cracked glass cost $250 to repair.

Officials are calling this an incident of road rage.
