Woman Shot in Road Rage Clash
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - DeKalb County Police are actively searching for man they said shot a driver on U.S. Highway 78 in road rage incident.
Police said the victim, 44-year-old Angelina Christiano, was driving her yellow Corvette on highway near Mountain Industrial Blvd. at around 1:30 p.m. Monday. Christiano told police that a newer model black Ford Mustang was following her too close. She motioned to the driver to pass her.
“As they were traveling west on Highway 78, the black Mustang came up behind them abruptly in the center lane,” said Major Stephen Fore with DeKalb County Police.
Investigators said the black mustang came around the car and then pulled up behind the Corvette again.
“As they approached the exit once he began to exit he fired several rounds at the corvette as it continued on 78,” said Major Fore.
Police said Christiano is in critical condition at Atlanta Medical Center.
Police believe the newer model black Ford Mustang exited onto Mountain Industrial Blvd. Authorities said they do not have any witnesses at this time and ask anyone with information to contact them.
