New St. Petersburg Pier to add covered solar parking

St. Petersburg is making some major progress on the construction of its new pier. Kristin Brett, who overseas communications for the new pier, says crews are on schedule to have the 26-acre project complete by summer of 2019.

St. Pete Pier artwork costs an estimated $3 million

It will cost St. Petersburg nearly $3-million to install a mesh-like sculpture by world-renowned artist, Janet Echelman, at Spa Beach.  The Tampa native revealed her preliminary design for the artwork to local leaders last week.
