It's time to make sure you are prepared for a big storm as all eyes remain on the tropics heading into the weekend. 

Residents across the Bay Area are beginning to gather supplies and make plans as Tropical Depression 9 forms in the Caribbean Sea. 

Tampa city leaders and power company representatives said they've been busy trying to get ahead of street flooding and power outage problems. 

The state wants Floridians to keep their gas tanks halfway full during hurricane season to help ease evacuations. 

Hurricane Season is underway, and August-October are historically considered the peak for most major storms. Indian Shores has installed new hurricane sirens to help make sure residents know when they need to evacuate the barrier island.

The 2022 hurricane season comes with big changes to Pinellas County's evacuation zones. Every five years county emergency leaders get together with the National Hurricane Center (NHC) to see if an evacuation zone needs to be changed based on storm surge levels.
