Tropical Depression #2 expected to dissipate

FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber is keeping an eye on Tropical Depression # 2, which formed on the first day of the 2023 hurricane season. He expects the storm to have little impact on Florida, other than producing afternoon showers on Friday. He expects it to drift south a fall apart over the weekend.

Invest 91 being watched in Gulf

On the first day of the 2023 hurricane season, FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber says while NOAA is predicting an average number of storms but there is already a small disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico, Invest 91, which may bring some rain to Florida. However, he adds that if one major hurricane hits the area it was a ‘bad' season regardless of how many named storms actually developed, which is why it is important to be prepared.
