Cold front keeps tropical weather away from Florida
FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber is watching two areas of interest in the tropics that are not expected to impact Florida. One system will likely bring a lot of rain to Central America while Invest 94L will continue moving west. A front that is bringing lower temperatures and humidity to the Sunshine State is expected to produce a strong ridge of high pressure and wind shear, which will steer Invest 94L to the south of Florida. Invest 94L does not have a high likelihood for development, but if it does become something, Weber says it will continue moving west and is not expected to enter the Gulf of Mexico.
