Local artist welds metal music, art as one

CLEARWATER (FOX 13) - A local artist works in heavy metal –- in more ways than one.

Shawn Lowery has a passion for music, and a talent for creating functional art out of metal. He has ‘welded’ those two worlds together by creating some one-of-a-kind drum stands. Lowery has created stage designs for well-known talent, like Alice Cooper and Korn. He has already created pieces for Queensrÿche's upcoming world tour.

Right in Tampa Bay, he continues his metal creations. Lowery also works with homeowners across the area, creating custom designs for their residences, such as furniture out of scrap metal, including tables, barstools and more.

His company, Sawbladehead Designs also do custom manufacturing on items based on their own designs but can also collaborate with you and your ideas.
