Driver arrested for DUI in ambulance crash

TAMPA (FOX 13) - A man has been arrested after a crash involving an ambulance on Davis Islands Tuesday night.

Tampa Police say the Americare ambulance was hit by a Toyota Sienna driven by 41-year-old Elliott Ingram around 10 p.m.

First on the scene said Ingram showed signs of impairment, and after a DUI investigation, he was arrested for driving under the influence with injury.

The people on the ambulance received only minor injuries and were treated on the scene.
