FHP: Four people killed in Englewood crash

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that left four people dead early Sunday morning.

The crash happened shortly after 3:30 a.m. at Sunnybrook Boulevard and Rosemonte Drive in Englewood.  According to FHP, the driver of an Audi sedan was traveling on Rosemonte Drive when they ran the stop sign at Sunnybrook Boulevard.

Troopers said the Audi crashed into the side of a Chevrolet Tahoe that was traveling north on Sunnybrook Boulevard.

The Audi burst into flames following the crash. All four occupants of the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. They have not been publicly identified.

The occupants of the Chevrolet Tahoe suffered minor injuries and are expected to be OK.

The crash remains under investigation.
