Heated confrontation between doctor and patient at Gainesville clinic
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Gainesville police were called to an after-hours clinic after a heated confrontation between a patient and a doctor that was caught on video.
The patient, Jessica Stipe, posted the video on Facebook. She says she went to the clinic because she wasn't feeling well, and after waiting more than an hour and getting sick in the trash can, she had to leave.
When she told the doctor, identified as Dr. Peter Gollogly, that she had to leave, the doctor was seen on video getting angry. "We've already been working on you, we've done a urine test on you," he says. "Do you want to be seen or not?"

Stipe replied that she wanted to go home and get in her bed. "Then fine. Get the hell out," the doctor says. As the doctor escorts her and her daughter out of the building, he discovers her daughter had been recording the confrontation and he is seen taking her phone.
The doctor released a statement to FOX 35 saying,"Ms. Stipe had been increasingly belligerent and abusive to office staff, cursing them and threatening them with violence," allegations which she has denied.
"I asked for my co pay back so I could leave and go back home to bed and try to be seen elsewhere tomorrow because I'm just that miserable that all I want is my bed," she posted on Facebook.
Dr. Gollogly included in his statement that he regrets losing his temper.
Gainesville police are investigating the incident as grand theft because of the allegations that the doctor took the daughter's phone, but officers would not comment on the investigation, which is still open.
