A University of South Florida student has been charged with armed robbery after allegedly threatening a pizza delivery man with a toy gun and requesting free pizza early Tuesday morning.

The USF Tampa Police Department received a call at around 4 a.m. reporting the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver outside the campus's Holly residential hall.

The victim reported to officers that a man approached him with what appeared to be a handgun inside of his waistband and demanded free pizza.
