Shipt expands service to include alcohol delivery
TAMPA, Fla. - The grocery delivery company, "Shipt," is expanding its service to include alcohol delivery across the Tampa Bay area.
The company is pairing up with ABC Fine Wine & Spirits to deliver alcohol starting Oct. 5.
Orders for either groceries or alcohol are placed through the Shipt app and a shopper will select the items and deliver them to the customer's door. For deliveries that include alcohol, members will be asked to scan their IDs through the app to verify their age and will be required to present the same ID to the Shipt Shopper when the items are delivered.
The cost of the membership for grocery and liquor delivery is $99 a year for unlimited deliveries or a monthly fee of $14. Orders under $35 are subject to a $7 delivery fee, Shipt says on its website.
Delivery will be available for parts of Sarasota, Manatee, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando Counties.
For a limited time, there will be no delivery charge for purchases over $35.
