WATCH: Whales in feeding frenzy in California

A kayaker in California captured an incredible sight on camera: a humpback whale feeding frenzy in San Francisco's Bay.

Lyrinda Snyderman of Berkeley, California spotted the whales while out with a group of kayakers on Sunday. Snyderman says the whales barely noticed them nearby.

The whales' feeding frenzy lasted about a half an hour before the whales swam back into the Pacific under the Golden Gate Bridge.

Marine mammal experts say the whales were likely trying to maximize their food intake and following the herring and anchovies in the area as they migrate north.
