Bobcat spotted in neighborhood by Sarasota deputy
SIESTA KEY (FOX 13) - A bobcat was spotted in the driveway of a home on Siesta Key - in broad daylight - over the weekend.
Sarasota sheriff's deputy Riva snapped a picture of the cat strolling through the driveway, then running along its way. Riva, who was off duty at the time, said the bobcat didn't seem interested in disturbing anyone.
The sheriff's office said in a Facebook post about the encounter, "we can't say we're surprised this cat chose to dig its claws into the softest sand on the west coast."
