Fire destroys mobile home in Brooksville
BROOKSVILLE (FOX 13) - Authorities in Brooksville say a double-wide mobile home was destroyed in a fire early Sunday morning.
The City of Brooksville Fire Department received a 911 call at 2:37 a.m. reporting the fire on Mocking Wren Lane. Hernando County Fire Rescue rushed to the scene and found the mobile home there with heavy smoke and flames coming from the building.
Fire crews worked to keep the fire from spreading and put out the flames. The heavy fire damage has completely destroyed the mobile home.
Because of the extensive damage, crews could not easily determine the cause of the fire. The Bureau of Fire and Arson Investigations was called to the scene to investigate.
Authorities say a someone did live in the home - but was apparently not home at the time of the fire. The investigation remains underway.
