Flagstaff officers rescue skunk from yogurt container

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Two Flagstaff Police officers took "to serve and protect" to a new and potentially smelly level.

A skunk is looking for food ended up getting his head stuck in a yogurt container.

Someone called officers, one of them had on his body camera.The two used a tarp to try and trap the skunk so they could get the container off, and possibly to avoid being sprayed if the skunk got scared.

After a few tries, they got the skunk captured, took off the yogurt cup and backed away.

The skunk appeared to walk away unharmed; it's unknown if the officers ended up getting sprayed.
