Maine delivery driver fixes fallen American flag
AUGUSTA, Maine - A veteran was left surprised and thankful after his home surveillance camera caught a delivery driver securing an American flag that was blown off his porch in Augusta, Maine, on February 19.
David Price, a Marine Corps veteran who served in the Gulf War, said he wanted to give a “big thank you” to the Dead River driver who fixed his flag. Footage from Price’s home camera shows the driver brushing snow off the flag and putting it back on its mount.
Price said he ended up calling Dead River, a petroleum distributor, to show them the video.
“One of our customers shared this video recognizing our delivery driver’s act of kindness while making a delivery!” the company said on Facebook in response to Price’s footage.
