Two dead in small plane crash in Greenville, S.C.

Two people are dead after a small plane crashed in Greenville, South Carolina.

It happened just off the property of Greenville Downtown Airport around 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

Video from the scene shows the plane seemingly broken in half.

Officials said the plane ran off the airport's runway and ended up on crashing through the airport fence onto Airport Road which surrounds the airport.

 

 

Four people were onboard the plane at the time.

According to fire department officials, the pilot and co-pilot were killed.

The passengers, a married couple, were rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
