WATCH: A man offering 'Free Hugs' punches a woman for not tipping him

NEW YORK, NY - We've all heard that "nothing in life is free," especially not in New York City. Unfortunately one woman learned that lesson the hard way. A man in Times Square advertising "Free Hugs" punched a woman in the face who wouldn't give him a tip after having her photo taken with him.

The woman's selfie saved the day as she was able to show police her photo with Jermaine Himmelstein who was then taken into custody. Himmelstein did not deny hitting the woman, telling reporters "I was aggressively asking for tips" while leaving the police station.
