Hurricane Irma Tampa Bay curfews
TAMPA (FOX 13) - Bay Area officials are bracing for Hurricane Irma’s impact, and several have been issuing curfews. Here is the current status of curfews.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY: No curfew has been issued.
CITY OF TAMPA: Starts at 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 10, until further notice.
PINELLAS COUNTY: No plans for countywide curfew, but county will be sealed at borders after storm until assessments are complete, sheriff's office says.
CITY OF ST. PETERSBURG: Curfew will be lifted at 8 a.m. on Monday, September 11.
POLK COUNTY: No curfew has been issued.
CITRUS COUNTY: Curfew will be in effect from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night until further notice. Only emergency response vehicles should be on the road during this time. Citrus County officials say because of debris, downed powerlines and trees, they urge people to stay where they are and off the roads. They will alert everyone when the county is cleaned up for people to safely return.
HERNANDO COUNTY: No curfew has been issued.
PASCO COUNTY: Curfew has been lifted as of 7 a.m. on Monday, September 11.
MANATEE COUNTY: Curfew has been lifted (this does not include the barrier islands) as of 8:30 a.m. on Monday, September 11.
SARASOTA COUNTY: No curfew has been issued.
SUMTER COUNTY: No curfew has been issued.
HARDEE COUNTY: Hardee County will be under a county-wide mandatory curfew until further notice. The curfew will be from 8:00 pm to 7:00 am daily. During this time citizens are to be restricted to their residences and/or personal property.
HIGHLANDS COUNTY: No curfew has been issued.
DESOTO COUNTY: No curfew has been issued.
