Big turnout for Jackie Faircloth charity event

A community rallied together for a south Tampa teen seriously injured last year in a hit and run crash in Tallahassee.

Hundreds of people participated in a charity fishing tournament for Jackie Faircloth.

Jackie was a cheerleader at Plant High School and was set to graduate when she was hit by a vehicle while visiting her brother at Florida State University.

Proceeds from the tournament and a silent auction go straight to her recovery efforts.

Organizers held the fundraiser at the Hula Bay waterfront restaurant.

Jackie’s family took part in the fundraiser and are asking for prayers for the teen who is still recovering.
