The Remote Area Medical team is setting up shop at the Manatee Technical College in Bradenton to offer free health services to as many patients as they can.

Patients can choose between general medical check-ups, vision appointments, or dental care from more than 800 volunteer health professionals.

The clinic opened on Saturday morning, with more than 700 patients in line before 7:30 a.m.

The R.A.M. clinic serves patients on a first come, first served basis over a two day period, and the line starts well before the doctors call up their first patients.

The parking lot opened to patients at 12:00 a.m, and, once in line, each patient is given a number to hold their place in line.

The R.A.M. clinic continues on Sunday, October 14. Doors are scheduled to open at 6:00 a.m.
