Pinellas issues emergency access permits to barrier island residents
ST. PETE BEACH (FOX 13) - Pinellas County is issuing emergency access permits to residents who live on the county's barrier islands.
The emergency access permits will allow residents back to their homes following large-scale mandatory evacuations. The purpose of the permits is to prevent looting and burglaries after an evacuation order has been lifted.
Residents of Belleair Beach, Belleair Shore, Clearwater Beach, Indian Rocks Beach, Indian Shores, Madeira Beach, North Redington Beach, Redington Beach, Redington Shores, St. Pete Beach, Tierra Verde and Treasure Island are able to register for the permits.
Residents can stop by one of the following registration events, or go to their local city government office to register.
