Police: Argument between friends leads to shooting death

ST PETERSBURG (FOX 13) - An argument between friends led to one man losing his life and another on the run from police on Wednesday afternoon.

St Petersburg Police were called to 7046 40th Avenue North around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, after reports of a gun shot.
Officers found Randal "Randy" Wright, 58, in a bedroom inside his home with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Neighbors told detectives Wright's friend, Johnny Alan Moore, 55, had been living at the home temporarily in a camper.

“John and Randy are friends. They’ve been longtime friends and previous musicians together," said Lt. Charles Coyman of the St Petersburg Police Department.
Police learned the men had gotten into an argument on Wednesday.

Paramedics tried to revived Wright on scene. He was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
Officers quickly began to search for Moore in order to question him about the deadly shooting.
“We relayed the information to the surrounding agencies thinking that the vehicle was trying to flee the area, and Tampa Police assisted us,"said Coyman.

Moore got caught in traffic driving from Pinellas County into Hillsborough County.

A Tampa Police officer spotted his camper on US 301 near Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard.

Moore pulled over his camper and surrendered without resistance.

St Petersburg Police Major Crimes Unit detectives took Moore in for question on Wednesday night.

The cause of the shooting is still unknown.
